It doesn’t matter whether you’re a Doctor, Engineer, Teacher, Musician, or anybody by profession, you must be having a hectic routine whether you love your work or not, you can get tired of your daily routine. And even if you’re unemployed and have nothing to do, instead of being depressed or dull, you can have these therapies for yourself.

The question is, what is the purpose of these therapies, why do we need them, and the answer is, including these therapies or activities in your daily routine can make you calm, relaxed. They give energy to your brain to think positively and creatively. We do many things to make our body work properly but what about our mental health, we’ve got to do something about that too

The mind is like water. When it’s turbulent, it is difficult to see. When it’s calm, everything becomes clear.

1- Coloring

Coloring may sound very childish but trust me it can make you relaxed, creative, remove stress, and most importantly it makes you a focused person. Once we are done coloring, we emerge as a happier and relaxed person full of contentment. It is a fun activity, not only for children but adults as well. You don’t need to be capable of drawing sketches or painting on a canvas, you just need to fill up colorless drawings with color pencils. Coloring can be done by anyone, you do not need to become an artist for that.
As you do coloring, you keep your mind focused on adding colors in a sketch, this helps you to achieve mindfulness. It relaxes our minds. You can make it your bedtime activity or do it in the evening or anytime when you want to be relaxed mentally.

2- Walking

we have heard so many times that, walk is the best exercise for healthy life. But can you imagine, it could be your therapy to relax your mind as well?

The walk is very beneficial for healthy body but it can also bring joy and happiness to your mental health. Today researches have shown that walking can reduce the fear or feeling of helplessness and hopelessness and it gives you energy, self-esteem and confidence. It helps to reduce anxiety. when you walk, you calm your nerves which ultimately becomes the reason to make you feel less stressed.

Best way to make it a habit is to start by little. Be easy on yourself, never force yourself to do walk. Make it a fun activity, so you feel happy doing it. No matter for how much time you’re going to do walk, remember, that time is yours. Think about yourself and your future positively, have happy thoughts, so you can enjoy it. Well you’ll observe that you’ll automatically start thinking positive while walking, because it’s a therapy for mind as well as for body.

Whenever you feel anxious or stressed, have a walk for even 5 minutes and you’ll see the positive change and calmness in you. So, add it in your daily routine.

3-Reading

To be honest, I was the person who never likes to read books/novels, I always preferred to use technology instead. But then one day I randomly find myself reading a novel by Sidney Sheldon, named, “If tomorrow comes”, and I felt so good turning every page and knowing more about the story, I had almost forgotten stress and anxiety I was having at that time, that was my happiest hour, and since then I got used to read everyday.

Studies have shown that Reading lower your heart rate and ease muscle tension quickly.

When you read about other people and their lives, whether they relate to yours or not, you get a chance to be in someone else’s shoes, and that’s how you become able to gain perspective which you could not otherwise develop in your everyday life.

The habit of reading is the only enjoyment in which there is no alloy; it lasts when all other pleasures fade.

There are many other ways to make yourself calm as well. But these three are easiest and simple activities which not only give you enjoyment but also make you creative and productive.
